about
Madeline is a multidisciplinary artist with expertise in music education, songwriting/composition, performance, technical theatre, video editing/animation and textile art. Since graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, she has decided to diverge from her Polymer Chemistry degree and focus on her passion for music and the arts in NYC. Music and theatre have always been staples in her life ever since childhood, and being able to return to something that has been so integral to her joy has been incredibly fulfilling.
After years of cultivating her musical craft with the UNC Music Department and through various bands and musical groups, she now teaches private and group lessons in voice, piano, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, violin and general music. She is constantly working on new solo music, and regularly performs in theatre productions in the area. Most recently: The Human Dream Project at The Tank Theatre, and The Devils Eyes: Rocky Horror Picture Show (Shadow Cast)
If you’re interested in private music lessons, looking to collaborate, or looking to commission a music or art piece, you can contact her at madeline.c.yara@gmail.com or through the contact page.
